He was born-again and found New Life in Christ on 4th April, 1977 and has since been engaging grace to make full proof of his ministry to the greater glory of God.

He is the Convener of a ministerial association called theChrist Global Network, which aims at focusing ministries for timeless impacts both now and in successive generations.

An electrical engineer by profession, Archbishop Akinola lectured in Polytechnics for about 14 years before answering the sweet the call of God to raise and nurture glorious assemblies of Jesus’ People -Rhema Christian Church – worldwide, of which he is the current Presiding Bishop. By the matchless grace of God, he is happily married to Ireti and they are blessed with four gifted children – Opeyemi, OluwaJoba, TiwalOluwa and JayeOluwa.
